The Aims of Scouting are:

Character,
Citizenship,
Personal Fitness, and
Leadership

Our mission is to encourage boys and girls to make friends, be helpful to others, and do their very best no matter the outcome. With the help of powerful learning projects and exciting outdoor activities, we aim to teach children that doing their best can be a fun and rewarding experience—no matter the difficulty of the challenge.

At the heart of Scouting are hands-on, interactive activities.  In Cub Scouts, there are opportunities to spend time as a family and to do things that help build upon the Scout Oath and Scout Law

THE SCOUT OATH

On my honor I will do my best

To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;

To help other people at all times;

To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Our Dens

Lion

kindergarden

The Lion program, like all Scouting programs, weaves the concepts of character development, leadership skills, personal fitness, and citizenship into activities that are age-appropriate and fun.

Tiger

first grade

The Tiger rank is for boys and girls who are in first grade or are age 7. To earn the Tiger badge, a boy or girl must complete six required adventures with their den or family and one elective adventure of their den or family’s choosing.

Wolf

second grade

The Wolf rank is for Cub Scouts who have finished first grade or are eight years old. To earn the Wolf badge, a Cub Scout must complete six required adventures and one elective adventure. The parent or guardian, and den leader, approves each requirement by signing his book.

Bear

third grade

To earn their rank badge, Bear Cub Scouts complete seven “adventures,” which are collections of themed, multidisciplinary activities. They also complete safety exercises. Bear Cub Scouts are in the third grade. Cub Scout Bear requirements include topics such as camping, pocketknife safety, woodworking, and wildlife.

Webelos

fouth grade

“Webelos” stands for “We’ll Be Loyal Scouts.” As Webelos near the end of the Cub Scout trail, it’s time for them to embrace that pledge and prepare for the next leg of the journey: Scouts BSA.
